On Property Matters, host Carol Tallon is joined remotely by Aisling Keenan, Managing Director of A.K. Property Services
Aisling Keenan, Managing Director of A.K. Property Services was first to join Carol Tallon on Property Matters to discuss the challenges facing residents and property managers of multi-unit developments currently dealing with Covid-19 restrictions – challenges facing approximately 8% of our population. This is an unprecedented and difficult time for us all but Aisling rightly points out that it is an even worse time for those in multi-development units, which are the very essence of sharing spaces. It begs the question of what is an “essential service” in terms of apartment living. One example Aisling has given Carol to consider is a water leak. Specific repairs have been deemed essential, however, when social distancing is demanded, this can be an impossible task. Listen back to Aisling’s interview to hear recommendations to those quarantined in apartments during these times and also the consequences for OMC’s and other property owners that fall into arrears with the payment of their annual service charge.
